The districts of Latvia are divided into 77 cities (Latv.: pilsētas, plur. pilsēta, sing.), 10 amalgamated municipalities (Latv.: novads), 24 rural territories (Latv.: lauku teritorija) and 475 rural municipalities (Latv.: pagasts).
