Su Yin Huen or Huen Su Yin; Born September 12th 1985; Ipoh, Malaysia, is a famous female [Blogger][1]. She is famous for her sculpted cakes using cake, fondant and styrofoam to create characters and themes. One of her most famous cakes would include her Super Mario. She is also famous for her Face Cup Cakes, though she was not the first nor has she ever claimed to be the originator of this style of cupcake decoration, she is however well known for them.

The blog was originally start in April 2006 during her time in Sydney Australia studying a Bachelor of Construction Management and Property at the University of New South Wales 2004 to 2007. She describes herself and her blog as:

Su Yin is the Malaysian girl who loves to cook. This is her Journal where she speaks about her cooking experiences, food adventures and her life's musings as she matures and discovers adulthood with a brave smile. Despite her background in Construction Management+Property from UNSW(Sydney); she followed the voice in her heart to pursue her new found interest in the Art of Cake Decorating. It all began with a spark of enlightenment from picking up a tiny block of fondant icing and a brochure hidden within. She thought to herself; "WOW! The things I could do with THIS!!". She has much progressed with her self taught techniques since and is now enrolled in a 24week diploma from the NotterSchool of Pastry Arts in Orlando; FL. She has a weak spot for sexy shoes; peanut butter and piping hot potato wedges. Su is enthusiastic and energetic under bright sunshine; and losses her vibrant animated self as evening falls. She's completely in love with everything edible; especially edible things which are both delicious and beautiful. She believes our precious eyes deserve as much a feast as our noses and tastebuds are so lucky to enjoy. Life's too short for ugly food *wink*

The blog was originally started to chronicle her cooking adventures and culinary experiences, however a side from her day to day meals that consist of Malaysian, Indian, Chinese, Korean and Western Cuisines. Her blog gained a wider and larger audience when she began creating sculpted cakes using [fondant], [styrofoam] and [cake]. After a year of blogging her blog was rank within the top 10 Aussie Cooking Blogs , later the top 5 and within the top 25 Australian Blogs.

Face Cup Cakes: Among her creations, though not the originator of them, she is well known for them. The Face CupCakes, by using fondant to cover a cupcake then creating a face on the top, this has widely caught on amongst cup cake enthusiasts in the blogging world and has been featured in 'Girlfriend Magazine' - Australia and various non-cooking related web sites. Some of her most famous cakes include: Super Mario,Piano Cake,Blue Sneakers andCar/Cheese cake.

She has also been featured in Australian magazine such as; Girlfriend and The Sydney Morning Herald's - Online section.

Born in a small town in Malaysia called Ipoh, she attended an all girls convent school until she completed high school and went to college in Kuala Lumpur for one year, she was then successful in enrolling as an International Student at the University of New South Wales studying a Bachelor of Construction Management and Property 2004 to 2007. As of January 2008 she has been studying at the 'Notter School of Pastry Arts' headed by Ewald Notter, studying and learning under her idols has been the focus of her blogs post of recent (Jan-June'08).
