Ultima Online: Stygian Abyss is the eighth expansion pack for the 1997 MMORPG Ultima Online. The expansion was announced accidentally on the Japanese Ultima Online website.[citation needed] It was planned for release in the summer of 2007
Stygian Abyss will feature a new playable race, Gargoyles, as well as the largest dungeon in game to date. There will also be new skills, items, pets and a home for the Gargoyles. Kingdom Reborn will be required to run this expansion.

The Ultima Online development team recently announced a date they will be updating the public on the status of Ultima Online: Stygian Abyss—sometime in June 2008. The date was announced on UO Herald (UO's Official News Website).[1]
