STX shipbuilding (Korean: STX조선, Hanja: STX造船) is a shipbuilding company headquartered in Jinhae, South Korea. STX Shipbuilding has built about 500 ships over the last 40 years in Busan and Jinhae. STX Shipbuilding has specialized facilities for building ships in the 30,000~80,000 ton range. STX Shipbuilding is planning to expand its business to include pure car carriers and Ferries, and is preparing to launch new services like Special Ships, offshore & plants and REITs. In 2003, STX Shipbuilding listed on the Korea Stock Exchange.
