- My understanding is that failed candidates for public office are generally regarded as not sufficiently notable. And the diff I did was of the references added since near the start of the discussion, since those would have been the ones that earlier discussants wouldn't have known about; the ones added very early in the discussion wouldn't have shown up in my comparison.
