You made a malformed speedy deletion request. Please cite an external source of copyright violation. Wikipedia can't possibly violate it's own copyright! --Dgies 00:03, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

I see you supplied an external link. Aside from the fact that your new link was also malformed, when fixed, the page doesn't look like a source of copyright violation for that article. I have removed the speedy deletion tag. Speedy deletion for copyright violation is supposed to be for copying from a copyrighted source, not merely covering the same subject. --Dgies 00:54, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

Call me old fashioned but I always thought copying chunks of somebody else's source and claiming it as yours counted as copyright infringement. Template:Student Steve 23:44, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Tony Benn

Is Tony Benn really a multi-millionaire? Do you have a citation to prove that? Bobo12345 05:51, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

He is indeed. And he owns a massive mansion in Kensington and Chelsea.

[edit] Luke Warren

Is this a character from a television program? Do you think it might be nice to tell the reader what program he's from? Remember that any article might be found by accident by someone who has no idea what it refers to. Fan-1967 04:28, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. --ArmadilloFromHell 04:31, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Note

You went and created a bunch of articles that look like speedy deletions for lack of notability, and a couple of them got tagged, and you are not following protocol. The proper procedure is to put a hangon tag, and explain what you are doing, not just blithly remove the tags. That's why you got the two warnings above. --ArmadilloFromHell 04:36, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

I HADN'T BLOODY FINISHED THEM YET! PLEASE BE MORE PATIENT IN FUTURE! —Preceding unsigned comment added by StudentSteve (talkcontribs)

Then don't post them until they are finished - that's what speedy deletion exists - to get rid of incomplete articles, dumping a whole lot of articles like this is wasting other editors time, also sign your posts Wikipedia:Sign your posts on talk pages and finally --

It is important to keep a cool head, especially when responding to comments against you or your edits. Personal attacks and disruptive comments only escalate a situation; please keep calm and remember that action can be taken against other parties if necessary. Attacking another user back can only satisfy trolls or anger contributors and leads to general bad feeling. Please try to remain civil with your comments. Thanks! --ArmadilloFromHell 04:48, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

I post articles, read them and THEN edit them. That way I see what I have written, not what I think I have written. Template:Steve 04:45, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

Then do your thinking in a sandbox subpage of your user space and then move them when complete, do not psot in the public area, you almost had all those articels tagged for speedy deletion and removed. --ArmadilloFromHell 04:48, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

But then I won't see how the they appear to the public. Plus I hardly think waiting ten minutes for an article to be tightened is unreasonable. Plus that above post is full of spelling mistakes: "psot" and "articels" are not words. Template:Steve 04:52, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

1. Yes you will
2. Ten minutes is an eternity. I'm not waiting ten minutes to check an article for deletion, there are hundreds of articles coming in every hour, if it take me more than a minute to tag an article, I'm working too slow.
3 That's because I reverse letters when I type and don't see the errors, that's why I avoid creating articles -they will likely be full of errors. I do however see spelling mistakes in existing articles faster than most people. --ArmadilloFromHell 04:59, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
  • If I may butt in... It is bad form to create a new article that is just an incomplete fragment. But you also do need the ability to preview what you are making as you write it. Aside from using a sandbox, which can be a little convenient, there is another way. Start your new article like normal, but then instead of hitting "Save page", hit "Show preview". You can see what it looks like, make changes, and preview again. Repeat until you have a respectable start of an article, then hit save. Everyone's happy. --Dgies 08:59, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

See that's an intelligent suggestion. I don't mind intelligent suggestions. Thanks. Template:Student Steve 23:42, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
