QUESTION: If Terkel published The Good War in 1984, how come it won the Pulitzer in 1985? Is one of those dates wrong?

Andrew Szanton, March 2008

I have a Bob Dylan Bootleg from the Stud Terkel Wax Museum, does anyone know more about this?

Is the Daily Show appearance notable enough to be in the article? Tlogmer 04:37, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

If he was born in New York, why does he have an Irish accent? Anyone have a source for the birthplace info?
He doesn't have an Irish accent although he can adopt one if the situation calls for it.Charles 21:24, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Question

  • I just saw him on the Daily Show, and I was wondering if we here at Wikipedia can officially name him the most badass guy in history. Someoneinmyheadbutit'snotme 18:24, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

did you see how he was kicking himself for not getting to talk about Bush? I wonder what he wanted to say.

Haha... He doesn't have much nice to say about Bush, that's for sure. He refers to him as a clown surrounded by clowns, etc. Studs knows what's going on better than anybody. Cowicide 19:38, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

Well, he doesn't really, but it sure must feel fine to get laughs and affirmation from talking to people, and making appearences on broadcasts where you know there will be total agreement amongst the gathered, with no chance of confrontation, or a contrary idea in sight. He's a blowhard, to boot. Article on Mr. Terkel is a good one, though. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.161.94.146 (talk) 20:18, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Brothers names appear completely made up

Real names, according to memoir by Terkel: Meyer and Ben -- only two. What kind of person makes stuff up for no reason?? 71.132.198.232 (talk) 11:19, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
