The figure of £4000 as the maximum loan value is completely wrong. I'm at uni, and from an average income family in the UK, and my loan is over £4700 a year and one of my co-students is getting £8000 a year. I don't know what the maximum is, but it is at least £8000 a year, quite possibly more.
