[edit] Categorization

This nice and well-written article needs to be properly categorized?Any idea?Any categories like IIT ? Or like Campus life?--Dwaipayanc 14:54, 28 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Information under Halls of Residence

A lot of editors add irrelevent information in the sections about the hostels. I want to achieve a consensus as to what information should be allowed in the article. Here are my suggestions:

  • Details of the history of name of hall (discussion on who the founder was) can be included.
  • Details of establishment and any notable event during establishment or history of hall in general can be included. This does not include the details of a particular year's GC result unless it is very notable.
  • Aggregate GC statistics can be included.
  • Student capacity and number of rooms can be included.
  • Famous alumni can be discussed.
  • Name of hall council members should not be included unless they are renowned outside of this achievement.
  • Details of hall tempo and attitude of students should not be included.
  • Details of canteen, fruit stall should not be included.

Please give you suggestions on these and other issues to be discussed under the section. — Ambuj Saxena (talk) 06:55, 30 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Robotix as largest robotics event in Asia

I have reverted the mention of Robotix as largest robotics event in Asia as it is not backed by any reliable sources. My other reversion was about GC-Hall Affairs, which was edited by an IP to read GC Maintenance. There is no GC Maintenance. Please get the facts correct. You may consult any authority in this matter. Even I once had this misconception. — Ambuj Saxena (talk) 15:48, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
