Sturton by Stow

Sturton by Stow is a village and civil parish in the West Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England.
The village is situated on the north-south B1241 and east-west A1500 'Tillbridge Road' (a Roman road). Nearby to the north is Stow. The parish church is dedicated to St Hugh.
There used to be a school, Sturton by Stow Secondary Modern School, which closed in the 1980s, when a decision had to be taken by the county council to close either the village's school or Cherry Willingham Community School. There is a primary school on 'School Lane'. Village pubs are the 'Red Lion' on 'Saxilby Road' and the 'Plough Inn' on 'Tillbridge Road'. One mile to the east is the River Till.
