Stuffed peppers is a world famous dish which exists in different names and forms around the world.

American Stuffed peppers is an American cuisine dish which consists of cooked green bell peppers filled with meat, typically beef, along with breadcrumbs, egg, herbs or spices, especially paprika and parsley, and cheese. Recipes vary, but often includes the following: first removing the seeds, boiling the peppers, stuffing them, covering with the cheese, and baking the combined foodstuff. A sauce may be served with them, most commonly a tomato sauce, but this, too, varies greatly.

Ardei umpluţi (IPA: [ar.'dej um.'pluʦʲ]) is Romanian for "stuffed peppers". Ardei umpluţi, in the Romanian cuisine, are usually prepared with bell peppers (or a similar species) stuffed with ground meat, usually pork, rice, onion and other vegetables and spices. The stuffed peppers are usually boiled in a sauce made from cream, tomatoes and spices.

The Mexican cuisine has more than one stuffed pepper dish:
- The Chile relleno, literally "stuffed pepper", consists of a roasted green Pasilla or poblano chile pepper stuffed with cheese (traditionally queso fresco), and/or (rarely) minced meat, covered in an egg batter, and fried. It is often served covered with a sauce, although the type of sauce varies widely. It is sometimes also served in a taco with rice, salsa and other toppings.
- Jalapeño poppers are jalapeño peppers that have been hollowed out, stuffed with a mixture of cheese, spices, and sometimes ground meat, and then deep fried.
- The Poblano is a mild chile pepper, just slightly spicier than a bell pepper.

- Yemista is part of the Greek cuisine and consists of baked stuffed vegetables. Usually tomatoes, peppers, or other vegetables hollowed out and baked with a rice and herb filling.
- Dolma is a family of stuffed vegetable dishes in the cuisines of the former Ottoman Empire and surrounding regions, including Turkey, Albania, Azerbaijan, Armenia, the Middle East, the Balkans, Greece, and Central Asia which consists of stuffed peppers or grape leaves.

Punjena paprika (Croatian for "stuffed peppers") is a Croatian dish consisting of paprika or peppers filled with minced meat and rice, most popular in the Zagorje region (influenced by Hungarian cuisine.) There are many variations of the dish across the Balkans.
The meat, usually ground beef, is mixed with herbs, spices and rice. Diced red onions are also an optional addition. Pepper tops are removed and peppers are washed and seeded, stuffed with the meat mixture and laid out in a large pot (tops facing up). Enough water is added to completely cover the peppers and boiled until the peppers become visibly soft on the outside and water reduces down to half. The heat is reduced and tomato paste, or even pasta sauce, can be added and mixed into the remaining water, along with a starch (commonly flour and water) which thickens the tomato sauce. This dish is typically served with mashed potatoes and salad but wide varieties exist.

- Filfil Mahshi is a dish from the Arab cuisine which consists of stuffed green peppers which also belongs to a family of stuffed vegetable dishes in the Arab cuisine which consists of stuffed peppers or stuffed zucchini or stuffed eggplant.
