Students for America was a political action committee founded by Ralph Reed in 1984. Intended as a national organization, Students for America largely confined its activities to supporting the reelection of United States Senator Jesse Helms[citation needed] and organizing abortion clinic protests.[citation needed] It had faded out of existence by the early 1990s.[citation needed]
