Stubline transmitter

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Stubline transmitter is a broadcasting facility for mediumwave and shortwave near Stubline, Serbia. Its mediumwave transmitter, which worked on 684 kHz, was until the destruction of its mast on May 30, 1999 with a power of 2000 kilowatts, one of the strongest in Europe.

Technical data are not available, but as for high power mediumwave broadcasting stations a half wave radiator is the most common antenna type, its mast may be approximately 220 metres tall.

The station was rebuilt, but nowadays uses less power.
