Stuart Pettman (born April 24, 1975) is an English professional snooker player. The ginger-haired Preston native has qualified for the World Championship twice, in 2003 and 2004, beating 2005 champion Shaun Murphy in the latter. His ratio of points scored to points conceded at the Crucible is the lowest of all players who have appeared there more than once [1]. He had ten last-32 defeats before he first reached the last 16 of a ranking event. He has now reached the last 16 three times, without progressing further.

He has spent 3 seasons in the top 48 of the rankings to date. He started 2007/2008 strongly, reaching the last 16 of the opening Shanghai Masters (winning 4 matches before benefitting from Ronnie O'Sullivan's withdrawal) and then qualifying for the final stages of the Grand Prix by winning all 7 group games.
