Stuart Byrne (born November 4, 1976 in Dublin) is an Irish footballer. He plays for Drogheda United. He is skilful and strong, and experienced in Europe, having played in European competition with Bohemians, Longford Town and Shelbourne.
Byrne made his debut Shelbourne appearance against Cork City in July 2002 and has frequently contributed his considerable power to Shelbourne's attack, where he played a part in three league title victories.
Byrne is 5'10" tall and weighs 12st 9lbs. He joined Shels in 2002 having previously played for Stella Maris,Home Farm F.C., Bohemian F.C., Crusaders F.C. and Longford Town. He signed for Drogheda from Shels on a free transfer on December 9, 2006.
