[edit] Fair use for Triptych_May-June,_1973.jpg

The image linked here is claimed to be used under fair use provisions in the English Wikipedia article Triptych, May–June 1973, which is a work by Francis Bacon, for the following reasons:

  1. The death of George Dyer, the man portrayed in the painting, was a significant influence on the realization of the artwork to which the article incorporating this painting, here on the English Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/), this 06:38, 30 November 2007 (UTC), does refer.
  2. The image is only being used for informational purposes.
  3. The image is not of a high-enough resolution to be satisfactorily printed on a contemporary 4x6 photo printer and held to one's fridge with a magnet as an aesthetic accompaniment to a grocery list on which bacon, ironically, is one of the items to be shopped for.
  4. The image is readily available on the internet.
