[edit] Edit to Maverick

It absolutely DOES matter that Mavericks are not Mustangs. If people want to read about Mustangs, they can look up Mustangs on Wikipedia. There is absolutely NO reason to have Mustang notes on a Maverick article. In fact, it's ridiculous, and it just clutters up the page...

I see that you removed the refernces section on the Ford Maverick page. Why did you do this? It doesn't matter that Mavericks are not Mustangs. The cited sources support facts that appear on the Maverick page. Please check the footnotes and then read the sources before removing any citations in the future. --Smiller933 (talk) 02:47, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

Hi. It appears that you do not understand how the footnotes work in Wikipedia. Check out WP:Footnotes - you will see that the foot notes are not clutter. They are vital links to indicate the source for a fact. On the foot note, click the caret symbol which will link the place in the article that is being supported. Note 1 links to [1], note 2 links to [2] etc.
As you can easily see, these notes support sales figures stated for Ford Mustangs, as they are compared to sales figures for Ford Mavericks. Just because a Mustang is not a Maverick doesn't mean the sales figures should not be supported with a footnote.
The Ford Maverick (North America) page needs more footnotes to support the huge amount of facts given, not less. It would be appreciated if you can contribute more notes to the page rather than delete the valuable notes that are there. Please do not continue to delete the important footnotes section. --Smiller933 (talk) 17:38, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Regarding your unsigned comment, it would be best if you would read about WP:Footnotes before deleting important sections of articles. These sections are very important and should not be deleted. --Smiller933 (talk) 23:28, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
