[edit] 130.209.6.40
I reverted a string of vandalism from this numerical address (one of the pages vandalized is one I've been monitoring), but ran into what may appear to have been legitimate content. My apologies if some of what I reverted was in fact constructive. It may be that this is a publicly accessible system where anonymous (but not non-anonymous) contributions should be prevented. -- Strangelv 18:24, 2 February 2007 (UTC).
- Your edits to IPKF page was indeed very unhelpful, since, having had a look at the contribution, they were great and very contributory. I have undid your revision, but have marked your edit as vandalism in the summary. No offence meant.Rueben lys 18:49, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Cookies
Hello! I just wanted to give you a plate of cookies for being a Wikipedian. I hope your Wikistress gets better! Peace, Neranei 19:15, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
- No, they do not have egg in them; I anticipated vegetarians, as I am an ovo-lacto vegetarian. Hope everything is going alright! Neranei 20:29, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Main Page
Most of the major language pages and several others have redirects for the convenience of users switching between different language Wikipedias. After finding that a wikipedia I had been pointed to for a dialect of Italian was not one of the languages, I checked to see which other ones were missing this feature. I have probably missed a few, but the coverage is at least more complete now. -- Strangelv 11:28, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] SPAM sites
According to your user page you are an administrator for these spammed sites, casual review of the "Recent Changes" reveals massive spamming -- they are useless until you clean them and if you can not do that then at least implement Captchas to reduce Spambots

- We are having serious problems with three of them, but the situation with Lunarpedia and Marspedia is under control. -- Strangelv (talk) 04:40, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
- The attacks are now solidly under control. It's been weeks since we've had any successful bulk attacks, and all known improper link pages are reverted, deleted, or completely eliminated. -- Strangelv (talk) 17:35, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Vereniging Basisinkomen
Hi Strangelv, I'd like to see you comment at Vereniging Basisinkomen. Since I have a COI, there is not much more that I can do there, and I would hate to see a good article go because a user dislikes me. Guido den Broeder (talk) 12:43, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
- At least it's not the sort of witch hunt deletion I'm used to having brought to my attention (It's a Singaporean local artist and is non-notable by definition and MUST be deleted!!!). I can't handle much of that. Hopefully my contribution didn't come across as too much of a rant -- it's possibly that some of my previous VfD comments have only inflamed the pro-deletion obsessives, although it seems that they have yet to notice this one: that there's any display of doubt is an improvement over what I'm used to seeing (and reason why I've been avoiding VfDs after returning to editing after roughly half a year (or maybe more) of trying to avoid Wikipedia). -- Strangelv (talk) 15:32, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Edit summaries at Talk:Chronic fatigue syndrome
Hey there. Could I please ask that you take it a bit easier in your edit summaries? This one], for example, was unnecessarily blunt and verged on attacking the IP editor it referred to. Let's try to keep the conversations on a positive note, if we can, okay? Thanks. Tony Fox (arf!) 21:02, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry about that. I realized I was a little too ungentle after having done it and will try to do a better job of catching myself in the future. -- Strangelv (talk) 21:06, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image source problem with Image:Sharon Harris Denver 2008.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Sharon Harris Denver 2008.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 19:02, 28 May 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 19:02, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
- If {{PD-Self}} is insufficient, what tag should I be providing? -- Strangelv (talk) 22:40, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
You need to include an infobox saying Self-made, and detials of where and when the photo was taken :) Sfan00 IMG (talk) 12:11, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
