Talk:Streets named after Martin Luther King, Jr.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] Questions
- What was the first city to name a street after King?
- What's the largest city that does not have such a street?
- What was the former name of each street on the list? When was it renamed?

[edit] Prominent Examples
Why are Seattle and Portland cited as prominent examples? Do those cities have anything to do with Dr. King's life, civil rights, or African-American culture? If the criterion for "prominent" means that the street passes through a largely-minority section of the city, then several hundred other cities would be candidates for inclusion. 66.168.64.187 22:34, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
- Seattle is included because I created the page, I needed some cities to start with, and being in the Seattle area I happen to know where its MLK street is. Gazpacho 07:09, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Math Doesn't Work
If there are more than 600 streets named MLK, there cannot be more than 75% of these found in six states, if even the state with the most streets named MLK, Georgia, has only 75 streets total. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.150.228.122 (talk) 13:51, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
