[edit] Split from strategy games
A lot of video game articles are tied to board game articles. This is unnecessarily complicated for people who are only interested in video games. I've taken the liberty of separating these two, as there is lots of reliable and notable research to support that strategy games can be discussed as purely a computer gaming phenomenon. - This is a non-issue. If you go to gamespy and they're talking about "best strategy game this year", they're not talking about board games. When you mention RTSs or artillery games, you simply cannot be referring to a board game. We have a category for strategy video games that doesn't include board games. The mention of Battlezone in the lead text is a bit bizarre. It may be a game that involves strategy (as most games do), but the reason why it may be "a notable exception" is that, well, it isn't a strategy game? In any case, if we are going to mention specific games in the lead, it should be one that is known for being an exemplary strategy game, like Civilzation or something.
