[edit] Other Examples - Nuclear Option

At some time we will need to "split" the page between parliamentarily "acceptable" strategic uses versus actions that border on abuse. The current examples from RONR are parliamentarily legitimate strategic uses. They are in accord with parliamentary principles.

The "Nuclear Option" would be of the latter - an abuse of parliamentary procedure. Another example is "gaveling through". These are actions more typical when there is a group 'in power'. Particularly in legislative bodies, where one party may be in the majority and in control, they can justify the means based on an acceptable political end. Parlirules 03:46, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
