[edit] Accuracy?

This series of entries seems to be tied to a hoax (attempt to tie in "Strand Releasing", a gay and lesbian art film producer and distributor). I can not confirm that "Strand VCI" had anything to do with "Strand Home Video" at all via the Web. I can confirm that "Strand Home Video" has released children's titles including the ones listed here. I cannot find a Web site for the company, though.

Anyone have more information? -Harmil 21:48, 10 August 2005 (UTC)

I believe that Strand is defunct, and has been for quite some time--this may explain why there is no Web site. I actually have a tape that uses the "Strand Home Video" logo on the packaging but has the "Strand VCI" logo after the FBI warning on the tape itself. Mattderojas 00:28, 4 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Descriptions about Images

Please don't say they were taken from many titles (like Thomas Gets Tricked and James Learns a Lesson). TobytheTramEngine 04:53, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

Also, please don't add more releases (like Tenders and Turntables, Thomas Breaks the Rules and Kichi is Alone). TobytheTramEngine 20:09, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Narrated by Ringo Starr and George Carlin

This line narrated by Ringo Starr and George Carlin seems to make no sense. Can I remove it if so? TobytheTramEngine 19:10, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Semi-Protection

Do any of you think it's a good idea if both pages can be semi-protected from heavy IP edits? TobytheTramEngine 21:39, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Strand VCI Entertainment (1988).jpg

Image:Strand VCI Entertainment (1988).jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Notice

I deleted the captions of the two images because they are doomed. I know it's not a reason for reverts. TobytheTramEngine 03:30, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

Oops. One caption, not two. I was expanding technical difficulties on Strand Home Video's caption. Finally, I removed it. TobytheTramEngine 03:35, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
