Strong As I Am

After Gregory Markel's departure from The Living Daylight (Rusty Anderson) he singed on board with The Prime Movers (Dread Zeppelin) in 1985. The Prime Movers gained attention and landed on the charts with Markel's "Strong As I Am. Hit on The BBC Top 20.

Michael Mann chose the song for the pivotal spot in his film Manhunter. Michael Mann liked the song so much he paid for the video shoot and it was filmed on top of the L.A. Exchange Building. The video got considerable rotation on MTV. Later "Strong As I Am" was used in Abraxas: Guardian of the Universe. Starring Jesse "The Body" Ventura.

1988: Gregory Markel formed Show of Hands in Huntington Beach, CA. Meeting guitarist Curtis Mathewson through The Prime Movers Manager. Curtis brought in his band mate, Rob Thomas from Des Neauveaux. Gregory Markel found Chip Moreland through a mutual friend. Scott Richmond would come on and share guitar duty.

1990 Show of Hands became known as Altered State Signing with Warner Bros. Releasing two albums. "Strong As I Am": a beefed up on the second album :[dos]:

Gregory Markel continues to play "Strong As I Am" live due to fan connection.
