Streptospondylus (meaning "reversed vertebra") is a genus of theropod dinosaur known from the Middle Jurassic period of England, 150 million years ago. Originally described as a crocodilian, five species have been named, several of which (including S. recentior, S. meyeri, and S. grandis) may belong to Iguanodon. At least one species (S. cuvieri) may actually be a megalosauroid theropod, similar to Eustreptospondylus.
The type species, S. altdorfensis, was described by Christian Erich Hermann von Meyer in 1832.
