Streets of New York

"Streets of New York" is the title of an album by Willie Nile as well as a handful of songs by a number of artists including Nile, the Irish band The Wolfe Tones, Alicia Keys, Kool G Rap & DJ Polo and Terror Squad. The version by The Wolfe Tones reached number one in the charts in the 1980s and is still a staple of their live shows. Written by Liam Reilly, this version tells the story of an Irish-American police officer in Brooklyn, and how he came to live in New York.
