Stratavia is best known[citation needed] for their Data Palette IT Automation Platform, which lets companies create standard task recipes (also known as Standard Operating Procedures or SOPs) and corresponding work-flows of automated IT and database administration tasks, such as patching systems, provisioning servers, rolling out software components, data migration, etc. These tasks can be performed across mixed environments that include networks, servers, applications and databases on UNIX, Linux and Windows platforms by IT personnel with varying skill-levels[citation needed] (across Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3). Data Palette was developed after years of use in the company's managed services business, and is now the company's flagship product[citation needed].
