Strandhill (Irish: An Leathros) is a seaside resort village in County Sligo, Ireland[1].

Strandhill is situated at the western base of Knocknarea on the 'Cúil Irra' peninsula, and is Atlantic facing. The area is a well known surfing destination and is amongst Ireland's premiere surfing resorts due to its strong beach break.

Amenities at Strandhill includes an 18 hole golf course, caravan park, pubs, restaurants and a Seaweed bath house. It is also the site of Sligo Airport. The resort is popular with residents of Sligo which is located approximately 7km (4 miles) to the east.
The Warrior's Run, which has been running since 1985, takes place from Strandhill, with about 400 contestants taking part annually. This 10 mile run takes participants from the beach front in Strandhill around and then up the nearby Knocknarea, to the cairn at the top, and back again, finishing at the cannon facing the Atlantic Ocean.

A number of new housing developments have taken place in Strandhill since 2000, especially along the R292 (the 'top road' locally).
