The Stralsunder Highflier is a breed of fancy pigeon developed over many years of selective breeding.[1] Stralsunder Highfliers, along with other varieties of domesticated pigeons, are all descendants from the Rock Pigeon (Columba livia).

The breed emerged in the former Pomerania and was developed from the French Cumulet.[2]
