[edit] Technology PredictionI had this idea a while ago about the advances in technology prediction. In the 1950s, computers were the size of buildings. Back then, they imagined in the 2000s computers would only be about the size of a small room. Someone actually made a non-functional model of what one would look like (unfortunately I don't have the picture): it was similar to what a nuclear power plant's control room looks like. It had one wall with a huge box with a bunch of dials and lights and even a steering wheel. Then, a TV that looks like it was from the 70s was mounted on the wall and there was a desk to sit at (I suppose they imagined you could sit there to watch TV or something). [edit] Robotic EconomyAnother wild idea: in the future, there will be no currency. None. Because, if you factor in a few things from my Technology Prediction theory, robots could completely do everything that humans would get paid for. Jobs, works of art, etc. Then, money will suddenly not be needed... as humans would not have anyone to give it to. Walk up to a grocery store, who you gonna pay? The robot? Eventually, there will be a point in time where currency can be completely abolished. No money. Anywhere. Housing? Robots can build it. Food? Robots can make it. There would be no such thing as a homeless person. World hunger would end. The world would be perfect. [edit] The AfterlifeWARNING: If you are highly religious, DO NOT READ THIS THEORY. This is simply an experimental idea I had: everyone is arguing with each other that they are not following the right religion and they will go to hell (or whatever form of hell in the specific religion). Although I was raised as a Christian, I came to the point where religion does not exist. It's only a way to manipulate people. If I made a religion where one must go out drinking and have wild sex parties every day or they will go to hell, people would follow it. My point is, although I am still somewhat Christian, I do believe that the afterlife is simply a dream. Whatever religion you are, and whatever your conscience is like, determines what you'll dream of. If you were a bad guy and you were Christian, you'll dream of going to hell. If you were a really good Buddhist, you would dream of going to Nirvana. It's quite simple, actually. |
