Template talk:Stones Throw Records
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I nominated the template for deletion, and still find it unnecessary, but at the very least, the list of all albums released on the label should be eliminated. The template is too large by a factor of two or three. | Mr. Darcy talk 22:12, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
- It's a wiki! Feel free to make any changes you want, and then discuss them if someone reverts :) Martinp23 22:15, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
- I was looking for objections/alternatives, but seeing none, I've removed the Albums section, which makes the template far more manageable. | Mr. Darcy talk 04:01, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
- Since you deleted the albums from the template, then you should make a "Discography" list on the Stones Throw page because a lot of the albums don't have links from other pages. I'm going to revert the changes until the albums can be transferred to the Stones Throw page.--Xxplosive 20:04, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
- You certainly should have come here to the discussion first before reverting. Regardless, I'm not sure what's preventing you from putting a discography list on Stones Throw Records yourself. The TfD contained three opinions from users other than yourself; two !voted to delete, and the third said to keep but without the albums; I think that's as close to consensus as we're going to get, given the relative obscurity of the template, and I would like to see you revert your reversion. | Mr. Darcy talk 20:22, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
- The voting ended with "no consensus", which basically negates it all. But when I have time, I'll add a discog to Stones Throw, and then revert the changes. I'll do that as soon as I can. It's a special time of the year right now.--Xxplosive
- No, it doesn't "negate it all" - that's wikilawyering. Put the discog in Stones Throw Records at your leisure, but given that three other people who've viewed this article thought the template should be cleaned up, it needs to come out. I'm asking you again to do it, but I will do so if you don't. | Mr. Darcy talk 05:48, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
- Ok, since I know you're willing to dig through the annals of wikipedia to find "wikilaws" that I'm breaking, you can make the changes. I'm not a "wikipolice". Enjoy your day.--Xxplosive 17:05, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
