Stove King (born Steven William King 8 January 1974 in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire) is an English bassist and was previously a member of the rock band, Mansun.
King formed Mansun with Paul Draper. Having not picked up an instrument prior to the formation of Mansun, King went on to become a solid bass guitar player and a pivotal member of Mansun, especially when it came to promoting the band. At one point, he had an answerphone installed in his house to update fans on news and also receive messages from them.
King departed the band after several recording sessions for the album, Kleptomania, although this only came to light months after the band finally confirmed their demise via their official website.
