Stovall is a town in Granville County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 376 at the 2000 census.

Stovall is located at 36°26′49″N, 78°34′8″W (36.446894, -78.568979)[3].

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.0 square miles (2.7 km²), all of it land.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 376 people, 155 households, and 108 families residing in the town. The population density was 361.5 people per square mile (139.6/km²). There were 168 housing units at an average density of 161.5/sq mi (62.4/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 70.74% White, 28.99% African American, 0.27% from other races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.06% of the population.

There were 155 households out of which 31.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.6% were married couples living together, 14.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.7% were non-families. 28.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 12.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.43 and the average family size was 2.98.

In the town the population was spread out with 26.9% under the age of 18, 4.0% from 18 to 24, 25.3% from 25 to 44, 23.4% from 45 to 64, and 20.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females there were 88.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 91.0 males.

The median income for a household in the town was $39,250, and the median income for a family was $46,875. Males had a median income of $31,250 versus $17,386 for females. The per capita income for the town was $16,097. About 9.2% of families and 12.4% of the population were below the poverty line, including 7.3% of those under age 18 and 18.8% of those age 65 or over.
