Storuman Municipality (Storumans kommun) is a municipality in Västerbotten County, northern Sweden. It has Sweden's tenth largest area (7485.2 km²), but is sparsely populated with a population density of 1 inhabitants per km².

The municipal seat is in the town Storuman. Other loclities are Stensele, 500 inhabitants, Gunnarn, 200 inhabitants, and Tärnaby, 500 inhabitants. Tärnaby has fostered the internationally famous skiers Ingemar Stenmark, Stig Strand and Anja Pärson.

The parish Stensele was created as late as 1822. It was, togehter with the parish Tärnaby, made a municipality in 1863. In 1903 Tärnaby was detached to form a municipality of its own. The local government reform of 1971 saw the reunification of Stensele and Tärnaby, thus forming Storuman Municipality with the name taken from its largest locality.
