Storm Thief (written by Chris Wooding, published 2001 by Scholastic Books) is a Gothic, science fiction, tech-punk, alternative history novel about a group of outcasts on the run, on the futuristic island-city known by its inhabitants only as Orokos, which is plagued by deadly "probability storms". The novel portrays a technological dystopia as a key theme.

Storm Thief is about Rail and Moa, two thieves who find this artifact and it takes them to great adventures where they meet a golem named Vago. The story takes place when Rail and Moa are suddenly in the possession of a very important artifact that gives her the ability of intangibility.
