Stor Island is located in the high Arctic's Eureka Sound, an area separating Axel Heiberg Island from Ellesmere Island, in the territory of Nunavut. The waterway southwest of Stor Island is called the Fulmar Channel, while northeast of Stor Island can be found Ellesmere Island's Bay Fiord. There are two peaks that reach approximately 500 m above sea level. Stor Island is 32 km long and 14 km wide.[1]
