Stony Point is a railway station in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, located in the suburb of Crib Point, and the terminus of the Stony Point railway line. Stony Point station is unmanned and is in Metcard Zone 2.
The station is located at the end of the Stony Point Road. A jetty is located near the station, where ferry services operate to Tankerton on French Island and Cowes on Phillip Island. Located near the station is the HMAS Cerberus naval base.
The station consists of a single platform with a weatherboard building with a small open waiting area. Like all stations on the Stony Point line, the station contains no Metcard machine or validators, with passengers requiring to pre-purchase tickets and validate them on arrival at Frankston [1]. A runaround loop is provided beside the platform to permit locomotive hauled trains to change ends.
Stony Point station opened on Tuesday, 17th December 1889.
