Stony Brook Manhattan was established in 2002 as a branch campus of State University of New York at Stony Brook. It is located on the 2nd floor of 401 Park Avenue South. The 18,000-square-foot (1,700 m²) facility allows Stony Brook to offer professional and graduate courses targeted towards students in the city, as well as undergraduate courses during the summer and winter sessions.

It is currently being expanded with another floor in an adjoining building.[1]
