Stony Brook is a station on the Orange Line of the MBTA subway. The station is located in Boston's Jamaica Plain neighborhood. The platform for Stony Brook station is an island platform and is located in a below grade right of way adjacent to commuter rail tracks. The station was opened May 4, 1987 as part of the southern Orange Line relocation project.
