Stockport Council election, 2008

Elections to Stockport Council will be held on 1 May 2008. One third of the council is up for election. The Liberal Democrats currently have overall control of the council.
The council is currently made up of;
- 36 Liberal Democrat councillors
- 15 Labour councillors
- 9 Conservative councillors
- 3 Heald Green Ratepayer councillors.[1]
