The Tampere Stockmann department store is Finland's second oldest department store, located in the centre of Tampere. In terms of sales, it is the third biggest Stockmann department store, after the Helsinki centre and Tapiola stores. It moved to its current quarters on Hämeenkatu near the Tampere railway station in 1981.

  • 1957, 1965: Stockmann's first "local department store" was opened at Hämeenkatu in Tampere, and significantly expanded in 1965.
  • 1981: The store moved to the other end of Hämeenkatu.
  • 1999-2000: The store expanded significantly and got an entirely new floor of new space.
