Is this image in fact Jerry Ayres, portraying "Ensign Rizzo"? I rotated the "dead" picture to match the "normal" one picture of him on Memory Alpha, and also checked the pictures of the other actors listed as "guest stars" for that episode. Ayres looks to be the closest match of those guest stars, but there were at least three redshirts killed in that episode, and I don't think actors get listed as "cast" if they're just extras with no speaking part. (And really, isn't that what a redshirt usually is/does?) DS 14:02, 29 August 2005 (UTC)

Not sure exactly. Ensign Rizzo was the first to fall I think in this episode, along with another guy. When Rizzo dies and Spock finds him he's still redheaded and has normal skin. In that same shot, right behind him, the other guy is down and already purple-looking. In the next scene when Rizzo is flipped over he's purple now. Rizzo's hair is also very red, but when he dies it supposedly turns faded purple so it's hard to tell the two guys apart. They have the same sideburns and pompadour hair going. The other guy's whose hair was darker though. I think this is the other guy, but not sure. I think to save some $$$, they only make-uped one guy for this shot and used him from two different angles and poses for both the dead Ensign Rizzo and the other crewman. Not sure though. This is a shot of Lieutenant Leslie, one of the security guards. He is played by Eddie Paskey. The same picture is used in the redshirt article, with a more helpful caption. --Ye Olde Luke 21:36, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
