DTTR

Um, WP:DTTR. It's a mainpage article, I'm reverting vandalism.  :) --Elonka 10:25, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Welcome to April 1st :D Elfits (klat) 10:27, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
WP:ASR? Haven't we already violated about umpteen Wikipedia policies just with what's on the mainpage? I figured it would be okay for just one day. :) --Elonka 10:28, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
I'm sure anyone who looks at it and doesn't already realize the tomfoolery will go to leave an angry message on the talk page and see the lengthy thread welcoming them to April 1st :) Elfits (klat) 10:30, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Don't Tag The Regulars Part II

Thank you for the warning to my talk page regarding WP:3RR on Greg Glienna. I made to edits to the page, both annoted in the edit summary as I believed that the situation was due to April Fools day. A simple google would show that the guys correct year of birth is 1963 and not 1973 see for example Trailerfan. It was me who raised the quest at WP:RPP Please don't tag regulars, or for that matter jump to conclusions without looking into the matter. Regards -- BpEps - t@lk 14:55, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

I do not believe in WP:DTTR. Sorry if you were offended.
Vandalism reverts are exempted from WP:3RR only if they are for simple and obvious vandalism, i.e. edits which someone who had never seen the page before would recognize as vandalism. Your edits didn't qualify for this exemption. Elfits FOR GREAT JUSTICE (klat) 14:57, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

WP:DTTR

Welcome to Wikipedia. Regarding your edits at User talk:Zzuuzz, although everyone is welcome to have constructive discussions on Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits involved templating an established user and has been reverted or removed. what is so bad about having a tracklist for Serius Jones' 'King Me' album?

I mean his signed label debut has a tracklist, why can't his street album have one? I do not understand because I was under the impression this was to be used as a reference source site and it would make the wiki article more complete if his other album had a tracklist as well. I just assumed it wasn't added because no one had taken the time. Please explain what nn-music for your reason of deleting this means. Geez, I put some work into actually locating a tracklist and typing it out over to have you delete it.

Can you explain how the album is notable and how including its tracklist is compatible with Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information? 18:57, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Serius Jones' street album isn't worthy of a tracklist?

Explain to me then how his other album is more notable then... I feel his 2006 street album is important because this is how he got his start and once he becomes more known through his release which will be sold nationwide in stores, some people will be interested in his beginnings as an artist and migh wish to track down this album. Also, now that he is signed to Ludacris' DTP label, he has re-released 'King Me' as a second edition limited run in an effort to further hype and to promote and prepare everyone for his commercial debut. You can see it for yourself on his MySpace page. But whatever. 19:05, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

If I find that I will delete it too. Elfits FOR GREAT JUSTICE (klat) 19:20, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Jono Lester

I have been trying to make a page about a successful race driver in New Zealand. However someone keeps deleting it.

Can you please explain? Ss-racer (talk) 19:37, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Jono Lester was deleted under the criteria for speedy deletion, specifically number 7 under articles, because it does not explain how he is notable or important.
If you want to recreate the article, you must include citations from reliable sources which prove that Jono is notable. Elfits FOR GREAT JUSTICE (klat) 19:39, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
There are 2 external Links to his website and to the Series Website. Also if you came to New Zealand and asked about the motorsport fraternity, nobody would not know Jono Lester!
Ss-racer (talk) 19:43, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
Neither of those links are reliable sources and the article still does not give any explanation of how he meets the WP:BIO guideline at all.
Unfortunately as you have decided that you will not attempt to abide by Wikipedia guidelines I have had to prevent the recreation of the article. You can apply at Wikipedia:Deletion review if you think the deletion was in error. Elfits FOR GREAT JUSTICE (klat) 19:47, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Requests_for_adminship/KnightLago

You left the following message "Oppose due to lack of contributions to Official Monster Raving Loony Party and Screaming Lord Sutch." in the support section of my RFA. While I am pretty sure you are just enjoying April 1st, as am I, someone moved the comment to the oppose section. If this is what you intended all along, then never fear everything is in the proper place. However, if you do wish to support you may want to return and clarify your comment. Happy April 1st! KnightLago (talk) 19:50, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

OK

I will begin to translate it from Turkish.Jay Jay Okacha (talk) 20:15, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Alonso R. del Portillo

I see that you have deleted the article. I believe the G4 reasoning does not apply here as I explained in the Talk page of the article.. Additional references were provided and in-line citations.Callelinea (talk) 20:25, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Yes. However the article is still almost the exact same as the version that was previously deleted. In the interest of giving it a fair run I will restore it and list it on AFD but I do not expect the result will be any different. Elfits FOR GREAT JUSTICE (klat) 20:28, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
Thank you. The difference is that now it is all verifiable. Callelinea (talk) 20:29, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
That didn't seem to have been the concern at the last AFD. The concern was that the guideline at WP:BIO is not met, and you will need to explain exactly which of the possible criteria there that this person (you?) meets if you want the article kept. Elfits FOR GREAT JUSTICE (klat) 20:34, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
  • Could you also restore the talk page? Callelinea (talk) 20:31, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
Done. Elfits FOR GREAT JUSTICE (klat) 20:34, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Ah, I see

Listcruft, eh? I made that because it was an edit from LightWave 3D that added a HUGE list to the page, and I moved it there to keep old browsers from crashing. But, if you know better ways to fix that, I'm open. 21655 τalk/ ʃign 20:41, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Also, uh... 21655 τalk/ ʃign 20:41, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Notability of Mood(nightclub)

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Mood(nightclub), by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Mood(nightclub) seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Mood(nightclub), please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. SLovenia

Hi there I recently created some articles on some towns and villages in SLovenia and am currently adding the maps and some details. I uploaded some images on Gažon from slovene wiki but their license OVL -I have no idea what this is. It clearly is free to use but would you be able to shed any light on it? I'm not certain it is GFDL ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 21:51, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

I have removed the GFDL tag from this image. sl:Slika:Panorama-s.jpg may be marked "OVL" but we need proper verification that the license is free before we can use it. The folks at Category:User sl might be able to help you. Stifle (talk) 11:19, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

Generation X page protect

Hi. I am asking that this be reconsidered. You should know that I offered to mediated differences with an editor who basically excavated the whole page deleting about 2/3 of it and ignored my offer. I don't think it's right that, while my secend request for mediation is now open, their edits stand. The user name is Cumulus Clous and I am seeking a reversal of their recent edits. I would like the page to stand just prior to them. Ledboots (talk) 22:32, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Generation X is not protected and will not be unless you can indicate a section of the protection policy that explains why it should be protected. Stifle (talk) 11:15, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
