[edit] RE:adoption

He said that he would, but didn't exactly adopt me yet. I'm fine with anyone adopting, except really strict admins who would ban me if I make one fatal mistake.

Sure! You can adopt me, although I'm not sure how to make those "This user has adopted..." or "This user has been adopted by..." userboxes.Chimchar monferno (talk) 01:39, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

My only problem for now is re-formatting my userboxes. I already posted a message on the User page help, but no reply yet.
I would like each section of my User boxes to be seperated by hide-and-show boxes. (I'm clueless at what they're called.) An example pf hide-and-show boxes would be on Qmwne's User page. Chimchar monferno (talk) 02:32, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Let's see... He replied, although I'm not sure what padding means... According to him, he also copied the code of someone's website as well. But thank you so VERY much for the HTML colour codes. That will truly come in useful. :D I'm also clueless at margins and other things about formatting boxes. (Should we start a new topic, or should we just comtinue with this topic?) Chimchar monferno (talk) 00:04, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Solution?

I already made some boxes. I hope that they will get better with some help. I got the code from SelfStudyBuddy. Chimchar monferno (talk) 22:43, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] In reply...

Yes, I actually do have some problems, believe it or not. I can't under stand why there is a big space between "Wikipedia" and "Interests".

I also am annoyed that I can't figure out why can't I stack them up into a column, like SelfStudyBuddy has. Chimchar monferno (talk) 17:17, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

Thank you so much! (Of course I don't mind the fact that you did that annoying job for me. I'm pretty stressed right now.) It's just the order is off now, again. LOL. First should be Love for Userboxes, General, then Wikipedia, then Interests, and Grammer and Words. Chimchar monferno (talk) 14:23, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] I'd love to!

You're...er...adopted as my uh...no...uh...you're...HIRED! That's it! You're hired as my adopter! May you help me with the wonders of intricate wiki markup (that should be fun, NOT!)--Editor510 (talk) 18:19, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

PS

Here is what a natural-born Editor510 looks like, in response to your 'baby parkin' piccie.

I'm Mk. 510. That's right, it took 510 tries to get the Editor Series of Wikipedians perfect.

Certain intricate templates that need entered user data, I'll turn to you for help. If all else fails we can ask Mushroom.--Editor510 (talk) 19:52, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Huzzah!

The Tireless Contributor Barnstar
I'm sure that you can guess that this is for all your work on the theistic Satanism article - it's probably this link that did it for me - it's from before the beginning of your most recent edits to the article: as you can see, a total of 75 references were added, with most of the significant edits being done by you; you've truly earned this barnstar! ≈ The Haunted Angel 21:42, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Before adoption, I have a question

I gotta ask...are you really a "practicing" Theistic Satanist? 10outof10die (talk) 21:48, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Gotcha. I definitely respect your right to believe whatever you want, even if I totally disagree with you. And although I appreciate your offer (the only one in almost 3 weeks), I have to pass for personal reasons.
And yes, my username points to the "Ultimate Statistic" as Ray Comfort put it: that 10 out of 10 will die, so we all should be ready. Also, I would caution you to beware of the powers you are worshiping. If the Bible is true, it says that Satan is the father of all lies and that he will be cast into the lake of fire, along with his followers, when Christ comes back to reign. I'd be more than happy to discuss it with you if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks again. 10outof10die (talk) 14:59, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
OK, thanks for the help. 10outof10die (talk) 19:33, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Signatures 101

Can you help me? I want this to be my siggy:

[[User:Editor510|<font color="Red">Editor510]][[User talk:Editor510|<font color=#4CBB17>(talk)]]

Which should appear as:

Editor510(talk)

but when I put it in the box it appears as an ugly, vomit-inducing, horrible string of internal-linked wikimarkup™ (sold where available)! Can you help me to make it into an actual, cool-looking, not blue signature!?

--Editor510 (talk) 19:28, 7 June 2008 (UTC)--GOD! THIS THING SUCKS!

[edit] Adoption (for unforgiven24)

Yeah, I'm interested. My only caveat or warning with it is what you've (hopefully) already read on my user page - I'm kind of just easing in to this, don't have time to spend hours upon hours every week on Wikipedia. Other than that, if that's no problem with you, sounds good to me.

Unforgiven24 (talk) 00:00, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

Works for me, then. Thanks :) Unforgiven24 (talk) 01:48, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Nope, sorry, but nope.

It hasn't worked. You also didn't explain fully. Am I supposed to check the checkbox? Why does it say Invalid HTML Tags? Do I need to change something? Please explain in more depth and detail 'cos I'm still a bit of a newb :-S --Editor510 (talk) 19:15, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] RE:Theistic Satanism

Nah, I think they should remain in the articles that they are in now, merging them seems a bit unnessescary. When I clicked on your first link, I thought that size would be the main issue, but in hindsight, it isn't that bad - what I'm concerned about is that there's different views of Satanism being put together in one article, when they are clearly notable enough to be seperate. Apart from the name of the religions, they are very different. Where did these ideas come from? The discussions on the theistic Satanism page? I havn't been reading said discussions in the past couple of days, y'see ≈ The Haunted Angel 13:13, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, I'll have to agree with you, hehe. Still, I think NeoFreak's the only one thus far that has expressed distaste towards the article's being there, so I'm sure if it'll come to it proper, the articles will remain as they are. ≈ The Haunted Angel 13:42, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

Sinagogue of Satan: Satanism, as defined by Albert Pike and emphasized by the Sinagogue of Satan, represents the archetypal hero with the ability to stand up against institutional religious oppression through the encouragement of doubt, critical inquiry, freedom of thought and belief, and the refusal to subjugate the rights of the individual to the collective. The Sinagogue of Satan is a paradox as it uses the techniques of institutional religions as a way to undercut the authority and appeal of such institutions which would ultimately include itself.(This was actually a members application essay, as you can see my people understand my religion far better than even me or any of you so far.) If you are going to have us in the new article this is by far the best discrption I've seen about us, please feel free to use it.Rev. Michael S. Margolin (talk) 14:21, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Yay!

It worked. I think it was something to do with spaces...No clue...anyway it worked. Yay you!

[edit] I need help!

I want to help users identify themselves with Dr. Who Wikifauna. I'm worried if I make a Wikipedia essay of one I will get in trouble, and all I want is for Dr Who geeks-i mean, fans-to be able to establish themselves with a clever Idea. should I add the '{{humor}}' template to each page? I think I'll make a page, see if it gets deleted and then either:

  1. Cry and then talk to you and a kindly admin like Defrag or Mushroom, or
  2. Give up Wait, forget that!

--Editor510 drop us a line, mate 17:22, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Ah, but those are...

...wikipedia wikifauna. Not Dr. Who ones. I do not want you to get upset because I am ignoring advice, because I'm not, but I just want to see if it lives long enough. If not, I'll go with your plan.

That OK? :-)

--Editor510 drop us a line, mate 17:37, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

I won't...I don't cry at all, just look a little shocked, like :-0?--Editor510 drop us a line, mate 17:57, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

...that wasn't all. I can hurt people's feelings easily...heh...--Editor510 drop us a line, mate 18:35, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
