[edit] Recent Research
I have recently done minor research projects on the following topics:
V838 Monocerotis , Quasars, Absorption Lines in Quasar Spectra, and Adaptive Optics
I hope to continue to read up on these topics, and help to organize and add to their respective pages.
[edit] Goals
I plan on contributing to specific astronomy and physics articles.
[edit] TO-DO
Quasars - Clean up sections, add new material, and cite new material. I would like to respond to several comments on the talk page, and attempt to clear up some users concerns that the current accepted model for quasars is unsound. I noted some concerns that too little focus was being put on alternative theories, or that the main theory was trying to be pushed as 'gospel'. Frankly, these concerns are unwarranted. Science, in and of itself is an everchanging set of theories based on the best current evidence, and when better evidence comes along theory changes. The current theory will be the one written about on the page, and very little space need be given to alternative theories or sections warning people of the finite possibility that these theories are just theories.
V838 Monocerotis - Add section concerning current hypotheses as to the cause of the nova. Also, broaden the source base from the Astrophysical Journal and other applicable journals.
Hydrostatic equilibrium - Add section with math showing balance between gas pressure and gravitation.
Testostertones - I created this page, however it was removed, and a redirect was put in its place to the list of list of collegiate a cappella groups.
