The SCG, Sticks Cricket Ground
For 2 years a few members of ECS's cricket team have practiced there.
The pitch has been compared to that of chester-le-street.
The grass is a luscious green.
Conditions can effect match play, a wet day suits bowlers and a dry day can be a batsman's paradise.
There have been several remarkable innings there such as, the nifty fifty from stevo (it was only off about 30 odd balls aswell), about 6 fifties from lee after some power hitting and my fifty that involved the punishing of sadlers wayward bowling.
Aswell as innings there have been several wonderballs, stevo's through the legs doosra, birds almost inhuman bouncer that nearly killed me, birds other inhuman bouncer that hit sadler in the ribs (ofcourse he ran away screaming in pain demanding brassy) and the one handed catch when I was wicky.
The pitch has also had some recent ground work done to it, a new surface and the removal of rocks and pebbles that had creeped onto the wicket have been removed, leaving the pitch free from uneven bounce and worsening in condition.
Big thanks to head groundsman Nathan Stephenson who used his shovel to his best ability.
Sadler please do not return to the ground as you are a coward in the face of a cricket ball.
