Talk:Stitch (Lilo & Stitch)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Isn't the current picture a bit too big? I liked the old one where Stitch is riding in the spacecraft 85.1.27.141 (talk) 16:59, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Stitch's bulletproof ability?!
From th info page, it says we were never seen Stitch getting hit by a bullet but I disagree. In the movie "Lilo & Stitch", right at the intro where he was at the cell with the genetic plasma gun, Gantu fired a shot at Stitch and we actually witness Stitch catching the plasma "bullet" (or energy sphere) and throws back to him. So that should well reveal Stitch's bulletproof ability.
Wrong!Duh!If you watch the movie,in that "intro" scean,Gantu said,"These guns are locked onto your signal. They won't shoot anyone, but you! [Stitch bites him]Gantu:Why, you...!" The scean where Stitch catches the "bullet" was when Jumba followed him into Lilo's house telling him, "We got fired this Morning!New rules! (Shots bullet at Stitch]Stitch:Ha!Hee,hee, hee! OW!!OW!!OW!! " Other than that, you're right.70.146.241.91 00:12, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] I just want to know...
why the language section was deleted. if anyone can't remember it, I have inserted it here:==Language== - Here are some samples of Stitch's language, with translations where available. Some come from the movie, some come from the official website of Lilo and Stitch: The Series. - - *Meega Nana Queesta- No translation, although it is probably vulgar, disguting, or both it ebhadfvhdsHDFGFHDFHDFGDDHJGHGadDDhhdgjhcvddckjwdvjfvjwfjbfjbjgkjbkgjbjdgbjgbjdlkfj (it made a robot throw up). True. Although,on the Lilo & Stitch article, they said in the Chinese vershon[I can't spell that, either]they translated it because it sounds like "Ni Qu Du",an offensifa[Agian, I can't spell it right]phrase meaning "Go away!" and the Grand Conclol[Another I can't spell] Women's response was,"So nauty!!" "Stitch laughs manicly[can't spell] Jumba:I didn't teach him that!"70.146.241.91 00:37, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
- *Agganadey! Jadde! Jadde- No exact translation, but it seems to be some kind of threat, based on the blaster gun gestures that accompanied it. - *Unga Ju Shmeeshta!- Based on context, this phrase roughly translates as "I don't want to be taken apart!" - *Yu poorma dissy!- An insult of fairly clear direction, since Jumba's response was "Oh! Leave my mother out of this!" - *Hey! Jumbu ki jabbi!- Exact translation unknown, but he was essentially asking Jumba to help him and Nani save Lilo. - *Ih- Yes. - *Nagga- No. - *Aggaba!- Stop! - *Ogata!- Ouch! - *Goobaja!- Let's go! - *Meega-o-itume!- Get away from me! - *Moorcheeba- Very nice. - *Mockeecha- Mine. - *Iky!- Yuck! - *Ah-chooga-moopa!- Everybody out! - *Takka- Thanks! - *Feeboogoo- Bring it on. - *Aggaba- Stop. - *Nagga takabah!- No way! - *Nagga bootifa- Not cool. - *Aka boocha!- Let me out! - *Achi babba- Friend. - *Emba chua- You said it. - *Kata baka-dooka?!- May I be destructive?! - *Eegalagoo!- Wow! - *Gaba ika tasoopa?- What's the big deal? - *Crabba snabba- Uh-oh. - *Akootah- Let's dig! - *Meeo dakka ingatta poju nagga nagga- I can catch an experiment without you! - *Acata- attack
~thanks.
- Worth noting: Wikipedia is not a dictionary. --Jtalledo (talk) 03:49, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
Who cares? It's just info. Is this what you call an encyclopedia? I don't think so.
I think this info is really important to the article. Even wikipedia being not a dictionary, Stitch's language isn't actually a language. And it is a very important thing to know because it really helps you understand the cartoon. I frst saw the series, and got a lot of time to understand Stitch because I didn't knew what he was saying.. After a few weeks only I saw he kept repeeating the same grunts for the same meanings. 201.56.56.248 01:13, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
Amen,my friend! I was just about to say the same thing!Plus,on www.Disneychannel.com,at the bottom of a Lilo & Stitch game page, there's a part called "Stitch words" where they translate Stitch words & phrases.70.146.241.91 00:37, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Lifting Weight
Ok, so Stitch can lift 3,000 times his own weight. So how much does he actually weigh? I know a Koala weighs around 12 pounds, a 6 year old child weights about 50 pounds. Stitch's weigh seems to be somewhere between the two. Does anybody know for sure? Joylock 06:17, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Angel
Can we verify that Angel plays a role in Leroy and Stitch? -—Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.200.116.131 (talk • contribs)
[edit] Disney World
Shouldn't the Disney World Ride: Stitch's Great Escape be mentioned in this article? 69.136.68.213 18:52, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Infobox
Restored changes to the infobox. The new image is better - it's more clear, correctly tagged with source info and it's not like Stitch runs around in his space suit for the majority of the series. He's a Disney character so the Disney character box is more appropriate. All the other info from the box is mentioned in the article as prose. --Jtalledo (talk) 04:45, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
- I don't see any reason why the hero infobox shouldn't be apropriate. It retains all of the inane trivia that previous parties attempted to insert in the article in a concise and manageable format. Stich is also a comic book character and with his hero status (such as in Kingdom hearts) and abilities that rival such characters like the Hulk and Dr. Doom I would think its much more fitting. As for the image, If people are happy with that, feel free to add it to the lower pharagraph, but its a depiction of his "dog" form and is not the real character. I also think the image should be deleted as redundant and would prefer one with his laser pistols, if possible. -Randall Brackett 10:45, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
- What trivia? Everything in the infobox is already in prose in the article. Plus, that image doesn't have a proper source and is blurry. Reverted again. --Jtalledo (talk) 11:44, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
- Hm... you know, instead of reverting, you could have just cut and pasted the old infobox code. That revert wiped out my merger of two sections and the addition of a category. --Jtalledo (talk) 11:48, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
- Hmm, you still have not answered to my argument. The image looks fine to me. I'm sorry you like the latter which doesn't refelct the true character. I would like to know what having the disney box tells the reader anymore than this does. -Randall Brackett 11:52, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Severe vandalism in the article.
The article makes several statements that cannot be verified (and some are flat out false) about Stitch's abilities:
He does NOT have a sword. He never appears with a sword in any of the four movies or the series. He cannot run on water. According to the first movie, he can't even float in it. The numbers given for his weight and top speed (110 pounds and 190 miles per hour, respectively) are both unverifiable. He is never shown having a 'Flamer Punch' or ninja skills. He can climb on walls though. He doesn't have green blood in the series (the episode in question, Snooty, was referring to mucus, not blood.)
Also, pictures are needed for this article. It should be fair use to have a picture showing what he looks like, as long as it's an official picture that's uneditted. After all, fair use covers something you can't portray without using copyrighted material, doesn't it?
