[edit] Development
There was controversy surrounding the first Still Life in its lack of an ending. Originally planned as the second of a trilogy[citation needed], with Post Mortem as the first, Still Life ended without revealing the villain, setting up for a finalé which, for some time, appeared never to be made. However, on 6 December 2007, Microïds announced the development of this game, which is expected to be released in November 2008[1]. The mysterious antagonist's identity will apparently be revealed in the game. Development of the Real-time 3D third person game was started in June 2007 by Gameco Studios.
[edit] Plot
The game once again follows FBI Agent Victoria McPherson in tracking down and stopping a ritualistic serial killer. Gameplay has moved with the killer, known as the East Coast Torturer, to Maine. The game uses the same storytelling device of switching back and forth between two player characters as its predecessor. The second character is one of the killers victims, journalist Paloma Hernandez, who has been covering the East Coast Torturer's crimes, making the game switch between investigation and survival.
