Stiliferidae, are a taxonomic family of small sea snails, marine gastropod molluscs in the order Sorbeoconcha.
[edit] Description
Most members of this family are completely parasitic and become deeply embedded in the body of their host, which is usually a sea star or a holothurian. At the base of the long probing probosis there is a fleshy frill that forms an enclosing sac around the animal. Both the operculum and the radula are absent.
