Stignano is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Reggio Calabria in the Italian region Calabria, located about 50 km south of Catanzaro and about 80 km northeast of Reggio Calabria. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,367 and an area of 17.3 km².[1]
The municipality of Stignano contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Stignano mare, Favaco, Sala, Colture, and Scinà (Greek: Schoinià).
Stignano borders the following municipalities: Camini, Caulonia, Pazzano, Placanica, Riace, Stilo.
