STH_reverse.ogg (Ogg Vorbis sound file, length 28s, 56kbps)

[edit] Summary

Reversed audio sample of a section of "Stairway to Heaven", from Led Zeppelin IV, by Led Zeppelin. This clip is short (under 30 seconds) and therefore a small proportion of the original song. Its quality has been reduced to no higher than the equivalent of a Vorbis quality setting of 0 (roughly 64kbps).

This sample is used to illustrate the backmasked message allegedly found in this portion of the song in the List of backmasked messages and the articles Backmasking and Stairway to Heaven. It cannot be replaced by a free sample because the possible backmasking is unique to this recorded version of the song.

Original track was sourced from the album “Four Signs” and reversed in "Audacity 1.2.4b". This version exported to a lower quality setting with Audacity 1.2.6.
